Description:

This island is a nature park located in the west of Majorca, near the anchorage of Sant Elm, only 1.3 nautical miles.

It is a quiet island with a peculiar beauty, tilted towards the south and with cliffs in the northwest. It is 4 km long and 1 km wide, covering an area of 3352 square meters. Two lighthouses indicate the end of the island, Cape Trucha del Jueu in the south and  Cape Tramuntana in the north.

ANCHORAGES NEAR THE DRAGONERA ISLAND

Around the island we can find several anchorages on the SE coast with spectacular views and cliffs. The rocky and sandy grounds allow a good anchor. We found:

  1. Cala Enrengan, open only to the NE and E.

  2. Cova Dels Bosch, it is a open inlet with cliffs, open from the E to the S and to SW swell. There is a shallow and isolated area to the E.

  3. Cala Lladó, narrow inlet with a rock of 2 meters in the center and with a small pier for golondrinas (tripboats). We recommend anchoring in a depth of 2 meters on a rocky, sandy and seaweed ground.

  4. Cala Cocó, moor near the shore; open from NE to E and SE.

  5. Cala Llebeig, is the largest inlet on the Dragonera island. Anchor at the beginning of the bay; open from S to E.

  6. Cala En Bagur, anchor near the shore. Open from the NE to E and SE.
